Panama is prepared to welcome international travelers. Visit Panama has implemented biosecurity protocols that ensure the safety of both travelers and locals as the destination reopens for tourism and business travel.

We are ready to receive you! We have prepared this document with guidelines required to enter Panama, as well as our company protocols and those of general sites. Before traveling to Panama

  • Each traveler must bring a negative PCR test result with less than 48 hours of validity. In case the traveler doesn’t bring a test result, there will testing available at the airport which will give the results in 30 minutes and the cost is USD $50 per person.
  • Clients must fill an affidavit form and have the QR code available with their documents to be shown at the airport’s immigration counter.

Filling out your affidavit step by step:

  • Start by registering on the Panamá Digital platform HERE.
  • Select your language preference at the upper right corner (ES/EN = Spanish/English).
  • Complete the fields with passport and personal information for foreigners or ID for Panamanians and residents. Click on the REGISTER button.
  • A confirmation message sent by noreply-pruebas@avisos.panamatramita.gob.pa will arrive at your email, which you will access in order to create your password with the following standards: – 8 characters or more. – A minimum of: 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number. – Special characters are not allowed.
  • Once your password has been established, access https://www.panamadigital.gob.pa/Login and select the LOGIN button to start your session at Panamá Digital, using your email and the password created.
  • After logging in, on the main navigation menu, select TRÁMITES, which will deploy a sub menu where you should select DECLARACIÓN JURADA DE SALUD DE PASAJEROS PARA INGRESAR A PANAMÁ.

  • Fill out all the information required and then click on ENVIAR
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a file containing a QR code.
  • For the validation at the airport, have your documents and the QR code ready to be shown on your smartphone. It is not necessary to have it printed out.

Airport Meet & Greet

  • Our guide will meet the clients outside the airport in the designated area for meet & greet. The guide will have a sign with the Ecocircuitos logo and the passenger’s name. The guide will be wearing a “kakhi” shirt with the company logo to be more easily identified.
  • Handshakes are not permitted at all times.
  • Our driver can assist the client with their luggage. For safety of our staff and clients, gloves will be utilized when handling all luggage of the clients and immediately discarded.

Guides & Drivers

  • Our guides and drivers will wear face mask at all times. Our driver will additionally wear a face shield.
  • All of our transportation vehicles will be sanitized before and after each tour/transfer. This includes seats, seat belts, and door handles.
  • Our guides will be tested 24 hours before each client’s arrival to ensure the safety of our clients.
  • We suggest tipping is handed in enclosed envelopes to the guide and/or driver.

Hotels We work with hotels that fully comply with health and safety protocols. The protocols of the hotel(s) chosen by the client will be sent as soon as their reservation is confirmed, so they can review these before arriving to Panama. Touring

  • Travelers will go through temperature control before boarding the vehicle with a digital thermometer. Maximum temperature 37°C for entry.
  • Should not have any visible symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Travelers, guides and drivers should wear a facemask during the tour. Facemasks and alcohol-based hand sanitizer will be available throughout the tour.
  • Groups will be handled with a maximum of 10 people plus guide per tour.
  • The guide will remind travelers to keep a 2-meter distance from each other, but it is under the responsibility of everyone to do so.
  • Before each tour, our guide will do a briefing of the protocols of each site (museums, visitor centers, national parks, etc.)

National Parks

  • National Parks throughout the country will operate under reservations with time slots and a maximum capacity.
  • Facemasks are to be used at all times.

Museums and Visitor Centers

  • Use of facemask is required at all times.
  • Travelers will go through temperature control before boarding the vehicle with a digital thermometer. Maximum temperature 37°C for entry.
  • Reservations are required within specific time slots provided by the site.

Internal Flights

  • Use of facemask is required throughout the flight.
  • Travelers must arrive 1 hour and half before the flight due to protocols.
  • Service onboard is temporarily suspended.

Handling Covid19 client

  • If a client falls ill during their stay in Panama he/she should inform us immediately at our emergency number +507 6450-1093.
  • We will arrange for a lab center to have a PCR test done at their hotel.
  • We will immediately put in contact the client with our doctor for a video call check-up. The doctor will decide the following procedures for the client’s well-being.
  • All medical expenses (including medical tests, medicines, doctor’s honorary services and in case, hospitalization) will be the client’s responsibility.
